Free SEO Audit

Share your store URL and the products you want to sell more of. We’ll examine selected category and product pages, look for visible technical problems and explain what deserves attention first. This initial assessment covers a sample of your store, with findings and recommended priorities. A full catalogue audit, account-level Merchant Center checks and implementation are quoted separately.

  • Sample product pagesA sample assessment looks at product details, images, buying information and existing structured data.
  • Visible technical issuesA limited crawl looks for problems with links, page access and duplicate URLs created by filters or store settings.
From product search to purchase

Help shoppers find, compare and choose.

A shopper browsing a product category needs different information from someone checking an exact model. Your store should support both journeys, from finding a suitable range to deciding whether an item meets their needs.

  • Reach shoppers looking for what you sell

Relevant categories and product pages give your range a place in searches for product types, brands, uses and specifications.

  • Make the range easier to browse

Logical categories, useful filters and related-product links help visitors narrow their options without reaching dead ends.

  • Answer the questions that hold up a purchase

Dimensions, compatibility, delivery charges and return conditions belong where shoppers need them, alongside the product they are considering.

Categories, products and store performance

What our Ecommerce SEO service includes.

We prioritise the categories, products and technical changes that matter to your store. Search demand is considered alongside stock, margins, seasonality and existing sales, with implementation responsibilities agreed before work begins.

Demand and store structure

Connect the way shoppers search with the way your catalogue is organised.

  • Category and product research

Your search map connects product types, brands, attributes and buying questions with suitable pages. It identifies where an existing category needs improvement and where a distinct collection deserves consideration.

  • Navigation and architecture

Categories should reflect how customers browse, rather than how stock is arranged internally. We assess menus, collection relationships and product access, then set out the structural changes for your team or developer.

  • Internal links to products

Links between categories, products and buying guides help shoppers move from research to a suitable item. Agreed improvements connect related pages and address products that are difficult to reach through the store.

Category and product content

Give shoppers enough information to judge the range and the individual item.

  • Category descriptions

Useful category copy explains the range, important differences and how to choose. Introductions stay concise, with supporting guidance positioned so that products remain prominent.

  • Product information

We improve agreed product titles and descriptions using verified specifications, applications and distinguishing details. The content answers buying questions without inventing features or simply rephrasing supplier text.

  • Images and supporting content

Product images, meaningful alternative text and supporting guides help explain what a short description leaves out. We identify gaps such as missing dimensions, fit guidance, compatibility details or photographs showing how an item is used.

  • Product structured data

We check that product markup accurately represents the information on the page, including relevant price, availability and variant details. Findings include validation results and the corrections or developer instructions needed.

Technical store management

Manage the URLs, templates and product changes that come with an active catalogue.

  • Filters and duplicate URLs

Colour, size, price and sorting options create many URL combinations. We distinguish useful search landing pages from unnecessary variations, then specify suitable crawling, indexing and canonical rules for the platform.

  • Product variants

Sizes, colours and other variants need consistent URLs, selection behaviour and product information. Recommendations account for your platform, search demand and how shoppers select an item, without creating separate pages for every option by default.

  • Out-of-stock and discontinued products

An agreed handling policy covers temporary stock-outs, permanent removals and genuine replacements. It explains when to retain a useful page, offer alternatives, redirect to a close equivalent or return an appropriate unavailable-page response.

  • Platform-specific issues

Themes, apps and platform settings affect templates, page access, duplicate paths and mobile performance. We investigate the issues affecting your store and document the changes, responsibilities and checks required after implementation.

  • Merchant Center and product data

When included in the scope, we examine Merchant Center diagnostics and product-data discrepancies affecting free listings. The findings identify issues such as inconsistent prices, availability or product identifiers, with recommended corrections.

Different pages, different decisions

Help shoppers choose a range, then choose a product.

Category pages organise the options. Product pages explain the individual item. Each needs content and functionality suited to that decision. Large catalogues need a practical order of work. We prioritise commercially important pages, categories with growth potential and template fixes that improve many products at once. Existing traffic alone does not determine which products deserve attention.

How we work

Prioritise the range. Improve the store. Measure the outcome.

Your catalogue changes as products launch, stock moves and customer demand shifts. The SEO plan needs to work with those changes.

  1. Understand the store

We assess your range, priority markets, platform, search performance and available sales tracking.

  2. Agree the priorities

Category and product opportunities are assessed alongside margins, stock and business plans. The resulting work list identifies content changes, technical fixes and implementation responsibilities.

  3. Implement and check

Approved updates are made through the agreed process. Template, navigation and technical changes are checked for their effect on product access and the shopping journey.

  4. Measure and refine

Search and sales data inform the next priorities. New ranges, seasonal demand and changes in availability are incorporated into the plan.

Measurement and reporting

Track the path from search to orders.

More visits are useful when they bring relevant shoppers. Reporting connects search performance with store activity and recorded sales, while making tracking gaps visible.

  1. Organic landing pages

The categories and products receiving organic visits, with Search Console and analytics used for their respective search and on-site measures.

  2. Product and category visibility

Search impressions and clicks for relevant pages and queries. Available Merchant Center free-listing data is reported separately and labelled by source.

  3. Transactions and revenue

Recorded purchases and revenue attributed to organic search, where ecommerce tracking is reliable. Missing or inconsistent tracking is identified rather than treated as complete sales data.

  4. Paid and organic performance

Organic search and paid campaigns remain separate in reporting. Attribution settings and tracking limitations are explained when interpreting the contribution of each channel.

  5. Work completed and next priorities

A record of updated pages, implemented fixes, outstanding dependencies and the products or categories receiving attention next.

Your store and catalogue

Which ecommerce platforms do you support?

We assess your existing platform, theme, apps and access before setting the implementation scope. The work includes search research, content and technical recommendations, with responsibilities identified for changes that require your developer. Moving platforms is not a starting requirement.

Where do you start when a store has thousands of products?

We group the catalogue by category, template and business priority. That helps identify fixes that apply across many pages, alongside individual categories or products needing closer attention. Stock, margins, search demand and growth plans guide the order of work.

Will you write our product descriptions?

Yes. Writing or improving descriptions is included for the products agreed in your scope. Your team supplies verified specifications and product facts. For larger ranges, reusable structures and editorial guidance help maintain consistency without giving every item the same description.

Is Google Merchant Center included?

Merchant Center assessment and product-data work are included when specified in the proposal. This covers the agreed checks for free listings and product-data issues. Shopping-ad management is a separate service, and free-listing visibility is not guaranteed.

Technical store decisions

Should all filtered category pages appear in Google?

No. Many filter combinations add little search value and create unnecessary URLs. We identify combinations that serve a distinct customer need, then recommend appropriate access, indexing and URL rules. A useful filter for shoppers does not automatically need its own search landing page.

Does every product size or colour need a separate page?

No. Variants may share a main product page or use separate URLs, depending on the store setup. The important points are that shoppers reach the intended option and that URLs, prices, availability and product information remain consistent. We assess the arrangement rather than splitting every variant into a new page.

What happens when a product goes out of stock or is discontinued?

Temporary stock-outs normally retain the product page with accurate availability information. Permanent removals need an individual decision based on replacements, customer usefulness and existing references. Redirects are used for genuinely suitable alternatives, rather than sending every removed product to the homepage or an unrelated category.

Do you support store migrations?

Yes, when migration support is included in the agreed scope. The work covers old-to-new URL mapping, checks on important content and technical settings, pre-launch assessment and post-launch monitoring. A platform move also needs coordination with the people responsible for development, product data and checkout.
