Free SEO Audit

Share your website and any problems you have noticed, such as missing pages, a recent traffic drop or changes after a redesign. We assess a sample of important pages and explain where further investigation should begin. A complete technical investigation, server-log analysis and implementation are quoted separately.

  • Page access and indexing signalsWe check whether sampled pages are accessible and examine their visible indexing directives. Confirming Google’s indexing status requires access to Search Console.
  • Broken paths and redirectsA limited crawl identifies broken links, redirect chains and errors within the sections checked.
  • Mobile experience and performanceWe test selected pages for loading problems, layout movement and mobile usability, recording the pages and test conditions.
Website foundations

Give your important pages a dependable technical base.

Useful content needs working pages behind it. Incorrect directives, broken links and conflicting URL signals create problems that are easy to miss during everyday website management.

  • Keep important content accessible

We investigate whether search engines reach the pages, content and links you want discovered. Findings distinguish genuine access problems from pages intentionally excluded.

  • Give duplicate URLs a consistent treatment

Filters, parameters and alternative addresses need decisions about which pages should remain available in search. We align the relevant signals around those decisions.

  • Turn findings into completed work

An audit should lead to action. Your issue register identifies affected pages, recommended changes, responsibilities and the checks needed to verify each fix.

Investigation, implementation and verification

What our Technical SEO service includes.

The work follows your website’s condition and commercial priorities. We agree which changes we implement, which need your developer and how completed work will be checked.

Crawling and indexing

Understand which pages search engines reach and how your website presents them.

  • Robots directives and XML sitemaps

We review crawl controls, indexing directives and sitemap entries against the pages you want available in search. Conflicting settings are documented, with agreed corrections implemented directly or supplied to your developer.

  • Indexability and canonical signals

Search Console data and page checks help establish why important URLs are missing or another version is being selected. We examine canonical signals, document the findings and recommend treatment for the affected pages or templates.

  • Redirects, status codes and broken URLs

Broken links, redirect chains and incorrect responses are traced to their source. Your redirect map records the intended destination for changed URLs, with implementation and follow-up checks included in the agreed scope.

Website structure and experience

Improve how important pages connect, display their content and respond to visitors.

  • Architecture and internal links

Your navigation and internal links should lead to the services, products and information that matter. We identify isolated pages, unnecessary steps and weak connections, then recommend changes to menus, categories and contextual links.

  • Duplicate URLs

Filters, tracking parameters and alternative page versions are assessed as URL patterns. We distinguish useful landing pages from unnecessary duplication and specify how each pattern should be handled.

  • Mobile usability and performance

Tests cover representative page templates, loading behaviour, responsiveness and layout stability. We identify contributing resources or components, prepare developer instructions and compare the affected pages after changes.

  • JavaScript rendering

We compare delivered and rendered content to check whether important text, links and page information remain available. Rendering gaps are documented with examples and recommended changes for your developer.

  • Structured data checks

Existing markup is checked for technical errors, supported properties and consistency with visible page content. We correct agreed issues or provide implementation instructions, without promising a particular search appearance.

Implementation and verification

Make the work traceable from the first finding to the final check.

  • Prioritised issue register

Each issue records the affected URLs or templates, supporting evidence, recommended action and implementation owner. Priorities reflect what the problem affects rather than the number of warnings a tool produces.

  • Developer instructions

Tasks include the problem, example URLs, the intended behaviour and acceptance checks. We discuss implementation questions with your developer and record decisions that affect the proposed fix.

  • Implementation support

We complete changes covered by the agreed access and scope, such as redirect rules, sitemap settings and supported platform configuration. Developer work is coordinated separately, with completed changes recorded.

  • Checks after changes

Affected pages are tested again against the original finding. We distinguish a verified website fix from changes still awaiting Google’s recrawl or processing, and document anything unresolved.

  • Migration support

For agreed website moves, we prepare URL mappings, assess the new setup before launch and check redirects afterwards. Post-launch monitoring covers access, indexing signals and search performance. Larger migrations receive a separate scope.

From findings to fixes

Fix the problems that affect important pages first.

A crawl report lists symptoms. The next step is establishing what causes them, which pages are affected and whether fixing them deserves priority. Before implementation, we confirm who owns each task and whether the platform supports the proposed change. After release, we test the affected pages and record the outcome. Search Console checks continue separately where Google needs time to process the update.

PriorityWhat it meansWhat happens next
CriticalImportant pages are unexpectedly blocked, returning errors or affected by a failed release or migration.Investigate first, agree the correction and verify the affected pages after implementation.
ImportantURL duplication, weak internal links, redirect chains or performance problems affect priority pages or templates.Schedule the work around impact, dependencies and developer effort.
Lower priorityMinor warnings or isolated issues have limited effect on access, visitors or important content.Record the finding and address it when the benefit justifies the work.
How we work

Investigate the cause. Implement the fix. Check the result.

Your technical plan connects each finding with a task, an owner and an agreed way to verify completion.

  1. Investigate

We examine the website, available Search Console data and representative templates. Findings are checked before they become recommended tasks.

  2. Prioritise

We agree the order of work around affected pages, business importance, dependencies and implementation effort.

  3. Implement or brief

We complete the agreed changes and prepare instructions for tasks handled by your developer or platform provider.

  4. Verify and monitor

Live-page checks establish whether the implementation works. Search Console and follow-up crawls help monitor what happens afterwards.

Measurement and reporting

Follow the fixes and their effect on your website.

Reporting explains what was investigated, what changed and what remains outstanding. Search movements are assessed alongside other website activity rather than automatically attributed to a technical fix.

  1. Agreed issues resolved

Verified fixes, open tasks and outstanding dependencies, with evidence against the original findings.

  2. Access and indexing status

Checks on priority URLs, distinguishing website accessibility from the indexing information available in Search Console.

  3. Recurring crawl findings

New or recurring issues affecting important pages and templates, with an explanation of their significance.

  4. Performance measurements

Before-and-after lab tests and available real-user Core Web Vitals data. Test conditions, affected templates and differences between the data sources are explained.

  5. Search performance in context

Impressions and clicks for affected pages, considered alongside content changes, releases, seasonality and other relevant activity.

Scope and responsibilities

What is the difference between a technical audit and implementation?

An audit investigates problems and recommends priorities. Implementation changes the website to address those findings. Your proposal distinguishes the assessment, work we carry out and tasks assigned to your developer. Our free SEO audit is an initial check rather than a complete technical investigation.

Do I need a developer?

Changes to templates, application code or server behaviour often require your developer or platform provider. We prepare instructions and verify the result. Tasks supported by your platform and the agreed access are implemented directly by our team.

What access do you need?

Access follows the work agreed. An investigation normally benefits from Search Console and relevant analytics data. Implementation also requires suitable website, hosting or staging permissions. We confirm the requirements and responsibilities before requesting access.

Which website platforms do you work with?

We assess accessible pages and the technical information available for your website, then confirm the implementation approach for its platform. Some changes are handled through website settings; others require a developer. Platform limitations are explained before the scope is agreed.

Specific situations

Do you help with website migrations?

Yes. Migration support includes agreed URL mapping, pre-launch checks and post-launch verification. The work depends on whether you are changing the domain, platform, design or URL structure. We establish the scope before the move and coordinate the checks with your developer.

What are Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals measure loading performance, responsiveness and visual stability through LCP, INP and CLS. We use available real-user data alongside controlled tests to investigate problems. A high laboratory score and a good experience for actual visitors are related but different measurements.

Our website relies on JavaScript. Does it need rebuilding?

Not automatically. We investigate whether important content and links are available after rendering and whether errors interrupt access. Recommendations address the gaps found. A rebuild is considered only when the evidence and platform limitations justify it.

Will technical fixes improve our rankings?

Technical fixes address obstacles to accessing, understanding and using your pages. They do not guarantee higher rankings or that every page will be indexed. Content, relevance, competition and other search signals still matter. We explain the purpose of each fix and measure the available outcomes.
